breakfast of champions.
my 21 day detox started yesterday. i did this one before to get rid of my chronic headaches (it worked), and now i am doing it again to get rid of my recurring headaches which reappeared after the semester of stress.
this detox involves a lot of raw vegetables and fruits, and a variety of supplements prescribed by my nutritionist. i am a girl of convenience, however, so i was putting all of the pills into individual bags so that i can easily take them. as i was spilling the pills on the counter last night, i commented to the boy that i felt like a illegal prescription drug dealer. he did not argue with that depiction 🙂
so, today, my breakfast shake (of champions):
8oz. organic apple juice
2 cups of spring greens
1/2 cucumber
1/4 cup of red cabbage
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 celery stalks (left out this morning, because i couldn’t find them)
put them all in the blender, whole, and hit blend. i prefer to drink my vegetables, thank you very much. this, surprisingly, tastes really good, like a slightly less sweet fruit shake.
1 day down, 20 to go. oy.
