one of the magazines in my regular rotation is vanity fair, which has excellent photography and usually interesting articles about people – celebrity and otherwise – and of amusing stories which i otherwise would not hear about.
i was reading one such article, about how princess margaret of england married a commoner (a photographer) and how that happened, the fallout, etc. the article mentioned how margaret treated many of the housing staff poorly, but how she was always very punctual to meals, saying:
“i was brought up to respect a souffle.”
that amused me this afternoon.
